Laurier Top

In French, “laurier” translates to bay leaf. A lace pattern resembling bay leaves adorns the neckline, creating gentle waves. While the original was crafted with airy wool, allowing for a lightweight garment, using summer yarn adds a cooler touch, perfect for hot summer days.

Laurier Summer Top is knitted top-down and seamless. Short rows are worked to raise the back neckline. The body and sleeves are knitted in the round. It is recommended to wear this top with a positive ease of approximately 15 cm at the bust.

150, 200, 250 (300, 300)g of Nutiden from Höner och Eir
515 – 550 yds (470 – 500 m) per 100 – 120 gr plate
(I used one strand of Nutiden yarn for airy texture)

Needles
4 mm (US 6) circular needles 40, 60, 80 cm and Double-pointed needles or magic loop technique
and 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needle 40 cm as needed for Laurier pattern.

Gauge
22 sts x 32 rows / 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch with 4 mm needles after wash.
