Daisy Cardigan

Daisy Cardigan is a summer knit featuring a clean raglan fit and a simple texture created using only slip stitches, knits, and purls.

This is a written pattern that includes charts. The cardigan is worked from the top down. You will first work the neckband simultaneously with the button band, then work raglan increases and short rows to shape a natural neckline. After continuing the raglan increases down to the underarms, the sleeves are separated from the body. The body is then worked flat, while the sleeves are worked in the round. Finish beautifully by washing, blocking, and attaching the buttons.

Techniques Used: Knit, Purl, Slip stitch (sl1wyb, sl1wyf), Increas es (M1R, M1L), German Short Rows, Yarn over, k2tog, Tubular Cast On, Tubular Bind Off.

The sample is worn with 25 cm (9.8 inches) of positive ease at the bust.
For the intended oversized fit, choose a size 20-25 cm (8-10 inches) larger than your actual bust measurement. For a more fitted look, choose a size with less ease.

Note: Exactly 200g was used to knit the size 2 sample, and the estimated yardage for all sizes includes an approximate 10% buffer and the original yarn is a plump Fingering weight yarn. When choosing a substitute, we recommend selecting a yarn with a similar texture and volume that matches the gauge.

4mm (US 6) / 3.75mm (US 5) / 3.5mm (US 4) circular needles
4mm (US 6) / 3.5mm (US 4) DPNs, short tips, or magic loop technique

Gauge (after blocking)
24 sts x 36 rows in 4mm (US 6) pattern knitting
33 sts x 32 rows in 4mm (US 6) 1×1 ribbing (Buttonband)

Notions
Stitch markers(+ row markers), scrap yarn or spare circular needles (used when separating sleeves), tapestry needle, 6, 6, 6, (7, 7) buttons (1.5cm / 0.6 inch)
