Cassis Cardigan

Cassis Cardigan is a charming drop-shoulder cardigan that inherits the delicate lace and classic cable patterns of the previously introduced Cassis Polo. The sample in the photo was made with 26 cm (10.25 inches) of positive ease at the bust for a loose and comfortable fit. Feel free to choose a size that suits your preferred style.

This pattern is a written pattern that includes pattern charts.

The knitting is worked top-down. First, shoulder increases are worked on the back, then stitches are picked up along both shoulder lines to work the front panels downwards. After that, the front and back panels are joined to work the yoke along with the sleeves down to the underarms. After separating the body and sleeves at the underarms, the body is worked flat, and the sleeves are worked in the round. The neck band, button band, body hem, and cuffs are all worked securely using the double knitting technique to enhance the quality of the finish. After blocking, attach buttons to complete the cardigan.

5, 5, 5 (6, 7, 7) balls / 730, 800, 890 (1000, 1130, 1200)m

4 mm (US 6) / 3 mm (US 2.5) circular needles, DPNs or short tips, or magic loop technique (for sleeves)

19 sts x 25 rows / 10 x 10 cm in Stockinette stitch worked flat on 4 mm (US 6) needles
19 sts x 24.5 rnds / 10 x 10 cm in Stockinette stitch worked in the round on 4 mm (US 6) needles
23 sts x 25 rows / 10 x 10 cm in pattern worked flat on 4 mm (US 6) needles (For the swatch, work 25 sts of Chart A on page 5 – approx 11 cm (4.25 inches))
23 sts x 24.5 rnds / 10 x 10 cm in pattern worked in the round on 4 mm (US 6) needles

Notions
Stitch markers, scrap yarn or extra circular needles (for separating sleeves), tapestry needle, 6, 6, 7 (7, 8, 8) or your desired number of 1.5 cm (0.5 inch) buttons, cable needle
