Bouclelaine & Knits pour moi
Blossom Vest is a collaboration with Bouclelaine.
Bouclelaine’s Ouessant fingering yarn is soft and lovely with many beautiful colors that are not itchy. Because it’s a non-superwash yarn, it’s great for colorwork projects and highly recommended.
Kimmi, thank you for taking the time to review the pattern.
This pattern is a written pattern focused on charts and videos instruction for some technique.
The chart comes in A3 size, but can be printed in A4 size using reduction printing. You can also view it on electronic devices by zooming in.
Blossom Vest is created with fair isle knitting technique throughout, while 1×1 ribbing stitch is used for the band and the front placket is knitted using the double-knitting technique. To begin, the band at the bottom of the body is knitted flat, followed by starting the colorwork using circular knitting. Steek stitches are added to the center of the front and both sides of the armholes in preparation for the “steek technique” to create openings. The shoulder line is formed by knitting the colorwork flat. Once the colorwork is complete, the steek technique is used to cut the front part of the body and armholes, and the front and back shoulder seams are joined together. The front placket is finished with buttonholes and knitted using the double-knitting technique. The armholes are completed with 1×1 ribbing stitch, and buttons are attached prior to washing.
