Berry Berry Cardigan

Berry Berry Cardigan is a drop-shoulder collared cardigan with a charming, textured small stitch pattern. The sample is made with 30cm (11.8”) of positive ease based on the bust circumference. Choose a size according to your desired fit.

This pattern is written with charts included. The knitting is worked top-down. After working the back shoulder increases, pick up stitches along both shoulder lines to work down both front panels. Then, join the front and back panels, working down to the underarms along with the sleeves. Separate the body and sleeves, working the body flat and the sleeves in the round. The collar is worked by picking up stitches along the neckline, and buttons are attached after blocking.

DK weight wool yarn Cardiff Cashmere – Cashmere DK (87m/25g) 100% Cashmere
13, 14, 15 (17, 20, 22) balls / 1100, 1200, 1300 (1450, 1700, 1880)m
(Note: The above yardage includes about a 10% buffer to account for swatching and individual gauge differences. Additional yarn may be needed if you lengthen the garment.)

Needles
4.5mm (US 7) / 4mm (US 6) / 3.75mm (US 5) circular needles.
4.5mm (US 7) / 4mm (US 6) DPNs, shorties, or use the magic loop technique (for sleeves).

Gauge (after blocking)
19 sts and 26 rows / 10 x 10cm in flat stitch pattern on 4.5mm (US 7) needles
19 sts and 25 rnds / 10 x 10cm in circular stitch pattern (sleeves) on 4.5mm (US 7) needles

Notions
Stitch markers, scrap yarn or extra circular needle (for holding sleeve sts), tapestry needle, 6, 6, 6 (6, 7, 7) 2cm (0.8”) buttons
